Simpson came to MicroGrants through Hired. Due to a physical health ailment, he found himself without a job, but he was determined to move forward with his life and became set on pursuing the necessary education to become a police officer. Giving back to his community and setting an example for his children has always been a priority. He is now registered at Metropolitan State University to purse a 4-year degree in Law Enforcement and is also finishing up his 2-year degree in Criminal Justice at Century College. Receiving an education grant has allowed him to pursue his dream by helping with remaining tuition costs.
“I would like to express my gratitude to everyone that took part in giving me a grant. If it wasn’t for the grant, I may not have been able to continue my education. All of the resources I have are because of HIRED and MicroGrants.”
MicroGrants grantmaking is currently paused as we work through internal operations and determine next steps for the program.
