Shaneka came to MicroGrants through Hired. While participating in Hired’s Medical Call Center Career Pathways Training program, Shaneka began having car issues and was worried that a lack of dependable transportation would affect her ability to find a good job. With funding from MicroGrants and guidance from Hired, Shaneka was able to complete a car purchase trade to buy a new car. Since that time, she successfully completed Hired’s training program and started an Instacart position delivering groceries. Shaneka is thankful to have a reliable car as she continues to interview for call center positions towards her ultimate career goal of working in the medical field.
