Robert, who came to MicroGrants through EMERGE, got a business grant to start a fitness enterprise. He says,
“Before I was able to get the grant, I was trying to start [a] bootcamp, start kickboxing classes, start fitness classes, but I didn’t really have the tools. . . . Once I was able to get the grant, I was able to get punching bags, I was able to get square boxes . . . It was something that helped me be able to get the equipment that I needed to start my business. I’d like to say thank you to whoever it was that helped me, whoever it was, that was a speck of light in this world for me and allowed me to create my business.”
