Lenora is a single parent living in public housing. She’s had dreams for years of being a pre-school teacher, and, even volunteered at her son’s pre-school when her working schedule allowed. Her spirit was willing but her reading skills were weak. Her $1,000 MicroGrant went for special reading instruction. Now, as she reads on her own and to her son, her confidence is soaring. She is overwhelmed with gratitude that we believed in her. Lenora is committed and is taking steps forward to becoming a teacher, and creating a brighter future for her family.
