Eleisha came to MicroGrants through HIRED. She is a single mother whose son is on the autism spectrum, and she used her grant to pay a past-due balance in order to return to school to study social work. She says,
“It’s hard to work because of all of [my son’s] therapies. Returning to school will help me get a degree in social work and I can work as a case manager and go out to people’s homes. It’s a little more flexible . . . I just want to thank the donors because this is helping me get back on track and in the right direction for me and my kids, so thank you.”
MicroGrants grantmaking is currently paused as we work through internal operations and determine next steps for the program.
