Andre Woods is living a testament to the fact that anyone can rebound from being incarcerated to making a positive impact on society. After successfully graduating from the highway and heavy construction training program of partner organization Summit Academy OIC, Andre found that he had no way to travel to his job interviews. He used his $1,000 MircoGrant to buy a vehicle. Since then Andre has participated in some major infrastructure improvements around the Twin Cities, including the new 911 center in Plymouth, the SouthWest Transit system, and the interchange next to Targat Field.
“It has really made a huge difference for my work and my life. I am so grateful!”
